I began making photographs in my late 'teens and dropped out, so to speak, for many years due to the demands of school and work. In 1999, while in graduate school, I began making photographs for the school yearbook and fell in love with photography again.

I began shooting digital exclusively in 2004 and love working in my "digital darkroom". I feel a special kinship with animals and love photographing them. I have also been photographing more children and families recently, and am enjoying this immensely.
